Morty was a loving and caring Uncle. He took time out from his personal life to care for others. He loved to hang with his buddies, Matt, Jamie and Billy. He also liked playing packman on his playstation with my cousins and I. We would love to play with his dog Madison. We also loved having dinner on his deck together. Everything we did together always involved the word FUN. Morty was a big factor in many people's lives and when he was taken from us, it was very upsetting. But we all pulled together and got threw that very hard time. This web-site is just another way for us to remember the wonderful soul the world has lost. -Lucas Frank Berstein- Morty was my uncle. He was a very loving, and caring person not just to me, but to everyone. He was loved by everyone in my family, my mom, my twin, my dad, my older sister. We were all so sad to see him go. I remember this one time when me and me sister were playing hide and seek with him and his wife at my house. They couldn't find me, they almost called the police!! It was a memory that I will never forget. Even though he isn't here anymore he will always have a place in my heart. -Phoebe Smith- |
Morty, I think of you all the time. You mean so much to me, always will and are imbedded in my heart. You were the first true crush on anyone I ever had, I even have poems I wrote about you in High School. Such sacred memories. This is Nicole, I went to both Lynbrook High School and Camp Westmont with Morty and what a blessing to know such a beautiful soul. I send all my love to everyone who ever loved him... ~ Nicole Arlyn |

DEAR MORTY |
As the 6th anniversary of 9/11 is approaching I still feel the sadness in my heart. I had a close friend perish and knew a few people also. One of those people being Morty. We attended Camp Westmont together and he was the one person at camp everyone genuinely admired. His attitude and wonderful disposition was superior; befriending everyone. My heart goes out to your family but you should stand tall with pride knowing you raised a wonderful son and although the time was brief you should be proud. |

Morty and I went to Camp Westmont and shared such great times. He had a spirit that was contagious and a smile that always made everyone happy. Morty, thinking of you. Miss you.... Billy |
I think of you every day. Miss you bro. Gatto |
